The Office of Public Counsel for Victims (OPCV) at the International Criminal Court (ICC) referred to the contribution submitted by Libya Crimes Watch (LCW) in its observations filed on behalf of victims in response to the Defense challenge to the Court\u2019s jurisdiction in the case against Khaled El-Hishri. The observations were entered into the official record of the ICC <\/strong>on 12 June 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On 5 June 2026, LCW submitted a 22-page analytical inputs to the OPCV entitled \u201cJurisdictional Challenges in the El-Hishri Case: Transitional Practices in Libya.\u201d<\/em> Drawing on LCW\u2019s expertise and experience in the Libyan context, the submission analysed relevant legislative and constitutional practices in Libya and provided contextual analysis supporting the Court\u2019s jurisdiction in the case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This contribution forms part of LCW\u2019s broader advocacy efforts and its ongoing work to support international justice and strengthen victims\u2019 participation in proceedings before the ICC.
